"The Ultimate Pardon" leads Inmate to CLI Program

One inmate in New Mexico started completing lessons in our second Bible study course called
“Christian Leadership” this summer. Since then, we have continued to see Charles grow in his faith. Check out his story in the interview below.

What was your life like before incarceration?

My life before I was incarcerated was out of control. I was a drunk, a drug user, a dead-beat dad. I sold drugs just so I could stay high. I would hurt anybody who tried to love me. Today I am incarcerated for two counts of trafficking meth.

When did you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior?

I made my decision to make Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior on Nov. 17, 2017. The reason I made this choice was that I could not control my life anymore. Every decision I made was about drugs and alcohol. My decision to make Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior has gotten my kids back. I have been sober since Nov. 17, 2017. I got my G.E.D. and most of all, I got the love I have been missing my whole life.

How did you get connected with CLI Prison Alliance?

I got connected with you all after I read The Ultimate Pardon by Bill Corum. That book really opened my eyes.

How is God using you to bless others?

God is allowing me to hold Bible studies with other inmates.  I am showing people the Scriptures and telling them how great God has been in my life even when times are tough. I can always count on Him, and people love to hear about that.

What’s something you would like our supporters to know?

I would like to let the supporters know that with every Bible study I complete I learn more and more. Thank you so much for them!
